Thank God for my adorable cats, they bring so much comic relief...as I was getting ready to leave for the nursing home to get my father settled this morning (a stressful and incredibly long process to say the least...), my girls had some entertainment for me in the form of...

The Battle over the Carpet Strip

The battle begins at the top of the couch, were a carpet strip has been brought...both opponenets view the prize as worthy and decide they want to take the prize for themselves...

...the battle continues as a full on tug-of-war breaks out between our medium weight and fly
weight opponents...little Spice holds her own with the strength of her razor sharp claws...

...not to be outdone, Sugar uses her brute strength to bring the fight, and the strip, to the bottom of the couch... were the battle continues...

...the fearless opponents assess each other, wondering if the other is ready to give up the fight...alas the opponents are both still equally determined...to win the carpet strip....

...the fly-weight Spice is forced to the ground...yet she hangs on with a Champions-determination...
...but despite Spices' determination, Sugar makes the final play for the carpet strip, pulling it back onto the couch....
...and Sugar is victorious!!!
She sits with her prize at her feet...proudly.

...and poor Spice looks on as her opponent enjoys the spoils...

A few hours later the opponents realize they are more alike than different and decide...
to snuggle : )
